Neon Bar Lights

"Displaying Neon Bar Lights can have a great impact on your business"

Neon bar lights are a new and electrifying advertising phenomenon came on the seen in the early 1920s and literally elevated traditional techniques of marketing to new levels.  In 1923, Georges Claude and his French company Claude Neon, introduced neon lights to the United States. It was in this very same year that the first neon sign was displayed in the city of Los Angeles, California. A Packard car dealer, Earle C. Anthony, brought over from Paris, two Packard signs for his dealership which cost him a total of $24,000. Of course this was an outrageous amount of money to spend during those days for only two signs, but the concept was very new and interesting although the popularity of these bright signs was not widespread yet. Today, this vintage Packard sign is located on a privately owned structure in Cottage Grove, Oregon, and can be seen from the sidewalk.

Glass benders infuse a variety of gases such as neon, helium, xenon, argon and krypton to create a vast variety of color.  When you look at the brilliant show of neon lights that glow brightly on Broadway in New York and along the Strip or on Fremont Street in Las Vegas, Nevada, they are as breath taking as a fireworks show on New Year's Eve or the Fourth of July. Moving about the nation and around the world, you will discover a multitude of businesses still displaying the incredible craftsmanship of neon bar lights.

Glowing lights on movie theatre marquees, signs for motels, hotels, restaurants, casinos, and other businesses have since added this wow factor for attracting prospective customers and curious onlookers. These lights which are displayed on the outside of businesses were an exciting hook to lure you into finding out what was happening on the inside of that establishment. Neon lights were quite an innovative promotional marketing tool.
